The Associated Student Body’s elections have concluded and the results have been announced; the person to fill each position during the 2026-2027 school year were made known April 16.
The members of cabinet, the six heads of ASB, are as follows: Madeline Garcia as ASB president, Catherine Bleeker as vice president, Nobumori Yoshida as treasurer, Eunice Manik as secretary, Christina Maradian as senior class president, and Teliyah Edwards as junior class president.
Adrian Dela Cruz and Declan Beck are the new sophomore class president and freshman class president respectively.
Logan Kelley won the position of activities commissioner. The new civil affairs commissioner is Cooper Lewis and the new unifications commissioner is Eliza Spears. Carlos Flores became student relations commissioner.
The new safety commissioner is Noelle Taylor. The next fundraising commissioner will be Nathan Cerda and the next community service commissioner Harper Bills. Charlize Cuellar became the student events commissioner. Penelope Heron is the new assemblies commissioner.
Thanks to his widespread campaigning, Isaac Hammer won the position of academics commissioner. The three athletics commissioners are Aaron Hurtado, Marian Dela Cruz, Allie Pandullo. The two publicity commissioners are Freya Kaufman and Natalia Macias and the two media commissioners are Azad Makarian and Allison Park.
The new manager of the student store (the blue snack shop outside the cafeteria) is Harlem Castro, while the new manager of the spirit store (near the entrance to the basement in the A Building) is Naomie Joya.
The new school representative, who serves as the delegate for Thurgood Marshall Secondary at school board meetings, is sophomore Grecia “Greg” Hernandez Loera.
The senior and junior pep commissioners are Ellen Harrer and Maura Mhagama. The three historians are Dylan Chiles, Yong Hui Wu, and Leo Aguirre.
The position of parliamentarian, whose job it is to ensure that the ASB abides by their bylaws, was awarded to Garret Sparks.
The four, “members at large,” who work generally to fill any position needing assistance, are Melody Tamayo, Nanette Komo, Isabel Martinez, and Luna Gonzalez.’
One position is currently unfilled— the person elected for it no longer attends Marshall— and that is the club commissioner.
The results of the middle school ASB elections were also announced. The MSASB president is Samantha Sanchez.
